If you smell propane and/or a propane gas leak is suspected, it is important to act quickly.

Immediately put out all smoking materials and other open flames.

Avoid creating sparks by not using electrical switches, appliances, telephones, or cell phones.

Leave the area immediately and get everyone out.

If it is safe to do so, turn off the main supply valve on your propane tank right away.

Only a professional should turn the gas back on after inspecting the system and determining it is safe.
